 Women's Ministry at Fairlawn

 
To help women grow in their faith, encourage them with the hope of Jesus, and to love them with the love of Christ!
 
 
Why a Women's Ministry at Fairlawn!
 
    There seems to be a wave of Women's Ministries sweeping our churches.  God is moving in the lives of women.  He is giving women a vision and a desire to minister to other women. 
    Years ago women did not work outside the home, so they had time to have coffee, clean together, raise children together, etc.  Today with live so busy, women are missing this contact.  It's proven that women need other women as friends, someone to talk to and understand.  The men in our lives are great, but sometimes you need a "girlfriend" to really listen.
    God understands this, He made us this way.  He sees our needs and is leading churches to provide opportunities for women.  Women grow spiritually when they study God's Word together.  They grow emotionally from having a Christian friend that prays for them and listens to them.
    It is our vision to provide a Women's Ministry at Fairlawn that will meet the needs of the women here, and to reach out and share Jesus with the women of our community.  Please understand that you do not need to be a member of Fairlawn in order to participate in any facet of this ministry.  These opportunities are open to all!
 

 

MINISTRY DESCRIPTIONS
 
 
FUN AND FELLOWSHIP:  Occasional local get togethers to "de-stress" by talking and laughing with the girls.  This could include:  dinner, games, movies, crafts etc.
 
STUDY AND GROW:  Small group Bible Studies on a variety of subjects taught at different times to enhance individual spiritual growth and foster relationships building within the women of our church and community.
 
WOMEN ON THE MOVE:  Fun trips and conferences throughout the year to enhance old friendships and to build new ones.

WOMEN'S MISSIONS

The purpose of the Women's Mission is to teach and minister to women about missions/missionaries around the world and our own area and to spread the gospel of Jesus wherever we go.

The Women's Mission meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month either at one of the ladies homes or at the Church.

The Women's Mission is open to girls 18 to adult.

The Women's Mission provides:

Christmas Food Baskets,
Food Pantry,
Nursing home,
Angel Tree,
Mission Friends for ages 4 and 5,
Men and Boys Cake Bake,
Valentine Banquet,
Senior Adult Card Ministry,
Secret Sisters,
Mother/Daughter/Friend Banquet,
Bible Studies and More.
