Fairlawn Baptist Church

Vitals:   Born in Buckhannon, WV.   Parents: John & Gelene McWhorter from Horner, WV.  I am the oldest of 3.   God has blessed me w/ two brothers with wonderful wives.  They are the best!!!  


Family:   Husband (Dan) for 27 years this year, 2009.  We were a blind date.  Next to Jesus, he is my rock & true encourager in my life.  We have been blessed with two daughters;  Breann & Marcy.  Breann, our oldest daughter is a Senior @ West Virginia Wesleyan College and will be graduating May 3, 2009.  Marcy is senior @ Parkersburg South HS and will be graduating May 29, 2009 & then off to college.

What is your primary responsibility at Fairlawn?     Administrative Assistant


What do you love most about working at Fairlawn?       Our church family! They are the best !  A lot of them have set the example of a “true Christian church family” for Dan & I . Next to this, I can’t begin to express how exciting & privilege it is to watch how God works daily in the lives of different people here at Fairlawn.  To see the excitement from some of the ministry teams or individuals can’t be put into words except to say….it is AMAZING!!!

Who is the most influential person in your life? (Earthly) My husband, he has this way about helping me to see the other side of life stuff.    Our daughters, sometimes they have some pretty valid views on circumstances and I love talking w/ them. ( Heavenly)- My Heavenly Father.

What inspires you?      I believe that God has used several different people through out the different stages of my life to inspire me.   There have been different authors who has been very inspirational.
